The ThermTec Ares 660 version 2.0 is a classic thermal scope that is even lighter and packed with numerous advanced features. Its 640×512 12 µm (NETD ≤20 mK) sensor provides users with an exceptionally clear and high-quality image. With a frame rate of 50 Hz and a 1024×768 resolution AMOLED display, it ensures smooth and uninterrupted image transmission. The device can detect a human-sized object (1.8×0.5 m) from distances of up to 1000/3000 meters, depending on the selected lens size (20mm/60mm). The Thermtec Ares 660 2.0 features a dual lens system (DUAL FOV 20mm/60mm) that allows users to switch between different fields of view. Additional features include six interchangeable color palettes, five savable ballistic profiles, a picture-in-picture function, seven reticle options, a built-in battery combined with replaceable batteries, sound recording, manual/automatic sight calibration, a built-in AI algorithm rangefinder, and 64GB of internal memory. Automatic object detection (tracking mode)
In automatic object detection mode (tracking mode), the device will start looking for objects with the highest temperature. Notifications can be received when connected to a mobile app.

The built-in algorithm distance measurer
The Thermtec Ares 660 2.0 is equipped with an AI-based rangefinder. When activated, the rangefinder detects the distances to objects and displays these measurements on top of the objects.

Picture-in-picture function (PiP)
In the picture-in-picture function, it is possible to see the object being viewed enlarged. It is displayed in a small area at the top of the image, so the field of view is not disturbed by two images being displayed at the same time.

Capturing videos and photos has never been easier. With a simple press of a button, you can save your thermal image as a photo or video. Additionally, you can conveniently share recorded videos, photos, and real-time image transmissions with others through the “ThermTec Outdoor” mobile app. The device features a 64 GB internal memory, allowing you to store hours of video and thousands of images. The mobile app also makes it easy to perform software updates on the device. It supports bidirectional Wi-Fi and hotspot connectivity.

The Thermtec Ares 660 2.0 is equipped with dual lenses (20 mm and 60 mm), allowing users to choose between different fields of view. The 20 mm lens provides a wider view, while the 60 mm lens offers a narrower view.
High IP67 protection
The ThermTec Ares 660 2.0 meets the IP67 protection rating, meaning it has the highest level of dust resistance. The device’s casing is waterproof up to 1 meter in depth (for up to 30 minutes). It is also drop-resistant from a height of 1 meter.
